Report from the Mega Crusade in Kitwe, Zambia - June 2014

Thursday

Resting a bit and eating a plate of fries. The meeting was good for the first night of a crusade. It was slightly cold outside. There were several healings. A 25 year-old man who had been completely blind since he was 10 years old, and another young man who told us of the ”pop” he heard when his ear opened and he got his hearing back. Now we are preparing for the leaders’ seminar tomorrow, and the crowds will double each night, so it will be exciting to see what happens.

Friday

A late night and another plate of fries. I was tired when I woke up this morning, and the words ”The Victor’s Crown” kept coming back to me. It's a song by Hillsong. I preached on that song tonight and didn’t even make it to the end before the Spirit fell in a mighty way and I had to switch over to a time of prayer for everyone. Thousands rushed forward to receive Jesus. So many got baptized in the Spirit – a major breakthrough. It was a meeting that transformed lives. Many of those who came had been depressed, sick and without hope – but walked home together with Jesus and with hope for a new tomorrow. Jesus the victor was there, and revival is breaking forth throughout the earth.

"At the cross the work was finished
You were buried in the ground
But the grave could not contain You
For You wear the Victor's crown"

Saturday

I’m starting to get tired of fries. The leaders’ seminar concluded today and it went very well. Pastor Daniel from Umeå has done an incredible job. On the way to the crusade tonight our engine stopped and things were chaotic for a bit when we had to switch cars. We got there late but were welcomed by a great crowd that has doubled each night. There were so many who joined in the prayer of salvation tonight, and when I prayed for the baptism of the Spirit there was a rumble as children, mothers and fathers, nearly everyone got baptized in the Spirit. A glorious roar of prayer could be heard. Tomorrow is Sunday, and if the crowd doubles again then there won’t be enough room for everyone. Isn’t that a great problem?! Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement. We stand together, together with Jesus.

Sunday
Her lifeless twin babies started kicking in the womb!

The mother in the photo below is in her fifth month. She has been to the doctor many times. There was no life in her womb. She was expecting twins and an operation had been scheduled to abort what the doctor called ”the lifeless fetuses.” During prayer on Sunday night, the babies started to move and the mother felt how they were kicking in the womb – they were alive! They came back to life during prayer in Jesus’ name!
What exactly happened and how it happened, I don’t know. This is the mother’s story. We have taken her address and will try to follow up with her doctor and after the delivery of her twins. The mother repeated several times that during her doctor visits he had told her that ”there is no life in there.” But what was not alive has now begun to kick! The mother already has one child so she knows how it feels.
